The musical revolution of the world should, no, must be introduced into the midst of all artists here. Music being available on deviantART is something that I would have expected long ago. It is an art form that travels through the core of a person and evokes feeling of sudden realization or just sweet lulling bliss. I know it will be difficult, but it should at least be tried.
I have only come across one person of deviantART (Who is absolutely brilliant let me say) Who has been able to upload music on deviantART quite cleverly if I say so my self. You have probably heard of this awesomeness that is `RainCookie

When I saw it, I realized just how deviantART could discover great talent such as hers! It is an original composition. Accessing music on this site needs to be made easier because we are missing out on great talents! We could have someone on deviantART who could create something as great as this:
deviantArt has dA muro and stash writer and is really moving forward but having a mixer where composers can make their own beats would make things even greater. It would be like have a version of garage band right here! We have so many visual pieces on deviantART but branching out to having audial art would help build the communities artistic identity.
In introducing music players onto deviantArt that allows you to submit your originally composed songs as a deviation you can get feedback right here on deviantART.
It will keep us further away from other there... Where there be monsters!

deviantART could become the creators of the greatest musicians. To even create our own musicians. Well there is dA muro but what if we had a mixer, like garage band right here on dA! We'd draw in so many uprising stars and dA could be the creators of the greatest!
In introducing something so amazing on deviantART, to draw attention to it, we could even have a contest every three to six months were amazing composers can be found. I have seen many lyricist on deviantART who have to link out of the sight to share what they have made. Things would be better if it could be enabled on the deviation as an option.
I think this idea could really help deviantART go even further into the world as music is everywhere! *I am currently listening to music* The community could get really involved!

This is work in process and here are just some more ideas! These are some pros, and cons that I have already looked at. I have been discussing this with quite a few people.
It is understood that dA will need to employ some more people but it would be worth it.
To reduce how many new people would need to be employed, it could be restricted to premium members, who tend to have been here longer, or you may need to have been for a certain amount of time. There could be an audition process in order to invite people to submit their own copyright mark which they've created with synths and other things. You might even get referencing to speed things up, like a sponsoring system.
I understand there are issues of copyright.
Just like youtube, dA could get a software that detects copyright material by making sound matches with a preliminary scan. I am sure record companies wouldn't mind putting a hand it to keep their music protected. It would make things easier and could block whatever copy write material. It would mean again hiring less people. It might even be easier than looking through all the deviations that some of the admins currently do.
There could also be an audiophile admin who could help out in chats and such.
dA Already has dA film and plenty of flash animations that would probably have copyright music. How would something like dA music be any worse than that when the guidelines could be stricter! Is it really that different from them?
dA is a really big website as well which would mean the exposure for music artists would be greater. For All artists as they will be adding to the size of the community! As the site is dedicated to all artists. We could find the most amazing pieces the world has ever seen.
It would also mean more exposure of dA to the world and would help build up the sites rep!
If dA could pull this off! The possibilities are endless! There could be
- dA Internet Radio ( Which could play through user songs )
- Members could moderate and help pick out any copyrighted material that may have bee missed!
- It would also mean a music player
Art is what helps us find our selves and in most ways see the potential that we hold. Music makes a person feel free and thats why it should be on deviantArt. It only adds to who we are. In making music more accessible on deviantART, easy to create or share, would be great!
It should be added to deviantART's identity! Officially.
There are already people who put it up with flash and I am sure dA knows. I just believe that it needs to be officially supported. That it needs it's own category, and awesome features.
I know many of you are saying, why don't people just go to Youtube, and post a link in their artists comments. Well truthfully how many people even glance at it? Say you post your music on Youtube, and then make a nice picture on dA as a preview picture and then make a link to the music in the comments. Most people will just look at the preview and not look at the summary or the link. Therefore no one will see or hear your music.
Sometimes, the Youtube idea doesn't work. As soon as theres something else that needs to be done, like needing to go to another website, your prospective views, faves etc. they drop. Unless of course you have tons of watchers. Which not everyone on dA ha! So the idea of JUST using Youtube doesn't really work.

Questions! Would this be full songs or demos? Would this be instrumental or include singing and backing. And to what extent do you expect musicians to be able to do. Could we upload proper songs (backings, singing, ect) Or would it only be snippets (just guitar or just drums or polysynthysised, no mixing of instruments) and would a remix of a song count as copyright? I am so sorry for all the questions and I understand you may not be able to answer all of them as it's up to what da is able and willing to do. I just think this is brilliant and am willing to help anyway I can

Remix's would probably not be possible, would get very messy with copyright especially with the SOPA & PIPA and that new one too ...
