We are all Children by Loza-Muse We are all Children by Loza-Muse
Underneath the facade, we are all children.

The Original:
loza-muse.deviantart.com/art/T…
(Not before I took the image... then it'd be graffiti, but before the editing which I believe made the image come to life)
I borrowed the camera! Thank goodness I still could!

This is my entry for the Billy Blue Change Your World Competition.

Reflective Statement:
Well.. When I saw this contest I was like, YAY! Something I can enter... then I went hmm... what should I do and suddenly it became a mission, even if I didn't finish it! I was going to do it! I wanted to do something really fun! With an air of childish glee in it! I grabbed my sketch book (Which btw is full of squiggled lines - I've learnt that if you just can draw... grab a camera or a keyboard XD)

When I put grey lead to paper, I just knew.. I needed balloons... I've always been told that when I was little I had a little obsession with them. And who wouldn't... they're so pwetty! I drew some more and found that I wanted it to be colourful!

Balloons were the light to everything when I was growing up. Whenever I was in a bleak mood and felt like I was falling, I'd see balloons and feel myself being lifted high. I wanted that to be reflected in the image, I wanted it to very uplifting and tranquil in a way. No matter how dark things may seem, when I frame the world through a camera lens I can make things brighter and more vivid. I wanted to change how others view the world and present in a way that I see it. In bright colours and well, a child like glee! I try to find the good in everything and essentially, thats what I wanted to ultimately achieve.

I looked at graffiti and wanted to add some more life, I wanted to combine portrait photography and graffiti. I also wanted to demonstrate how in many places, graffiti is not prohibited so it is more of secret skill. Walls are continually being changed by graffiti, so I thought... why don't I add my own mark to it? As I shifted through the images I saw that I wanted my piece to portray the act of someone being caught in the middle of something. I couldn't stop grinning after having looked through about 400 photos I'd taken on my photo shoot and found the perfect one. I just needed to enhance the colours a bit more!

Basically, I wanted to change the world and add colour in a very sudden and colourful way.
