I really like how you've approached the concept, because it feels like such a roundabout way of saying it, what with the metaphors and all of that.. but then again, if you know what this is about, it becomes less so, and even though I said it's roundabout, it's not a bad thing at all. 
You could put a full stop at the end of the sentence... other than that, awesome piece.
